About the Role

Samvedna Development Society is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Human Resource Specialist to support and enhance our growing team. This role is designed for individuals passionate about HR operations, employee engagement, and compliance within the development sector. As part of our HR function, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth HR processes and supporting the workforce across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage end-to-end recruitment cycles, including sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer rollouts.
Oversee onboarding and induction programs to ensure seamless integration of new hires.
Employee Engagement & Relations
Support initiatives for employee well-being, performance, and engagement.
Address employee queries, resolve grievances, and maintain a positive organizational culture.
HR Operations & Documentation
Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR databases in compliance with policies.
Ensure timely preparation of appointment letters, confirmations, and exit documentation.
Payroll & Compliance Support
Assist in payroll management, attendance, and leave tracking.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, PF, ESI, gratuity, and other statutory requirements.
Performance Management
Support appraisal processes, KRA documentation, and performance improvement plans.
Partner with teams to identify training needs and coordinate learning programs.
Policy Implementation
Support the creation and execution of HR policies, handbooks, and SOPs.
Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and statutory compliance.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of HR processes, labor laws, and compliance.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HRMS tools, MS Excel, and documentation.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment with high accountability.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Who Can Apply?

Fresh MBA graduates (HR) with a strong academic foundation.
Professionals with up to 4 years of HR experience in recruitment, payroll, or HR operations.
Candidates with NGO/development sector exposure will be preferred (but not mandatory).
